IMS PGDM students visited Mother Dairy Plant, New Delhi

After concrete efforts of Dr. Urvashi Makkar-Director, IMS Ghaziabad, and highly involved CRC Team headed by Mr. Swarnpreet Singh, the students of PGDM 2013-15 batch got the esteemed opportunity to have an Industrial visit to renowned organization – Mother Dairy. 110 students visited MOTHER DAIRY PLANT, New Delhi on 21st and 23rd August, 2013. Mother Dairy is one of the largest liquid milk operative organizations in Asia.

IMS faculty members Mr. Swarnpreet Singh, Ms. Charu Sharma, Dr. S.K. Kapoor, and Ms. Divya Gupta also accompanied the students to the milk production plant. Students took a keen interest to understand the various aspects of the business. They were briefed on topics as collection, testing, storage, packaging and distribution of milk.

Students were benefitted with knowledge of classification of milk according to PF norm, advantage of cold milk, various possible alteration, and practical of milk testing.  It was an interactive session with the Mother Dairy dignitaries to satisfy the quest of young minds.

The full day of industrial visit was a combo offer for students with knowledge and recreation.
