“Freedom is a celebration; Independence is a challenge”

The 68th Independence Day was celebrated at IMS Ghaziabad with traditional gaiety and fervor on August 15, 2014. The founder of Shri Kalki foundation Acharya Pramod Krishnam ji, Shri Kamal Sekhri – Managing Director -Hint Group, Shri Rakesh Chharia – Management Trustee – IMS Ghaziabad and Dr. Urvashi Makkar – Director -IMS Ghaziabad hoisted the National Flag at the premises. Approximately 500 students, guests, faculty and staff have attended the celebrations of Independence Day.

In her Independence Day address, Dr. Urvashi Makkar expressed happiness over the students’ enthusiasm on the occasion of Independence Day and advised the youths that the best service to our country in present context is to do their duties with full honesty and dedication. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Achraya Pramod Krishnam ji also suggested the youth of our country “to love your country and devote for your country”. Shri Kamal Sekhri ji felt that teachers have great responsibility to fashion children into knowledgeable and skilled citizens of the country so that they compete with the best in the world and pay back to the society that invests in them.

The students performed on “GANESH VANDANA “- fusion of three dance form Kathak, Kathakali and Bharatnatyam. After this a motivational and patriotic skits –“BADALTA BHARAT” and “BHARAT KI KHOJ was performed by MCA and PGDM students. Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Gupta extended the vote of thanks to whole gathering with a positive note that each individual should take a pledge to contribute for the welfare of society. The celebration ends with up with an exuberant dance performance by the troupe of PGDM Ist year. As a tradition, the Independence Day celebrations closed with National Anthem.
