Strategic learnings by IIT Professor

To continue the magnificent legacy of providing excellent learning opportunity to its students, IMS Ghaziabad had organized a 30 hour dedicated sessions on Strategic Management in the months of Aug- Sept – Oct, 2015 by a renowned professor of IIT-Delhi. Dr. Manoj Sharma, Former Dean, Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi who has been associated with United Nations along with experience of 28 years in various capacities as Teacher, Manager, Advisor and National Policy Analyst, in Academics, Industry and Government. IMS Ghaziabad invited him to train and teach PGDM 2015-17 students upon the intricacies of Strategic Management.

During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director of the institute expressed her gratitude to Dr. Sharma who agreed to impart knowledge to final year PGDM Students of IMS Ghaziabad. She also encouraged the young minds to utilize this opportunity and learn the issues and challenges of application of strategies.

Dr. Sharma is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, having Bachelor and Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class with Distinction and Gold Medalist, along with MBA and Ph.D. in Management. He had taught students on the domains of Competitive strategy, resource allocation and corporate strategy, and strategic decision processes. Students had participated enthusiastically and present their opinions on various case-lets provided by Dr. Sharma. The 30 hour capsuled programme concluded through a farewell of such intellectual academician, along with the strong association developed with him for a long term relationship with IMS Ghaziabad.
