Workshop on “Challenges and Opportunities in Management Education” at SRCC, Delhi University

Under the stewardship of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director IMS Ghaziabad, the workshop on “Challenges and Opportunities in Management Education” was organized in association with Fine Arts Society of Sri Ram Commerce College (SRCC), Delhi University on 8th Oct 2015. Ms. Vatsala Agarwal, CEO-Erudion was invited as an Expert speaker for this workshop.

This development program was specially and specifically designed for the final year students of graduation; for creating awareness about the management education, choosing program, institution, location, specialization, etc. Ms. Agarwal started the session with the concept of Dream Career and what are efforts an individual needs to make to achieve his/her dream career. She briefly discussed the role of Management education and suggested students not to get disappointed, for not being selected in premium B-Schools like IIMs or FMS, as they should plan for next level B-School.

Along with sharing her experience, she addressed the queries of students and motivated them to focus on other USP of a B-School like whether an institute is providing career enhancement advantages and global exposure. The discussion was revolving around the opportunities after management education in current scenario and upcoming trends in management career. The major concern of the students was on rapidly changing corporate world and requirements of technical and managerial skilled manpower.

Mr. Komal Budhraja, Head of Admissions at IMS Ghaziabad enlightened the students about the upcoming era of management education. While interacting with students, he suggested on how to choose the best B School for management education based on their caliber and interest. Mr. Manoj Kumar Manager – Admissions facilitated the smooth conduct of the workshop.
