IMSians acknowledged at Debate on “Start Up India”

IMSians acknowledged at Debate on “Start Up India” with Rajdeep Sardesai – India Today

With an aim to provide holistic development and live exposure to our PGDM and MCA Students, they along with Dr. Anchal Mishra participated in a Debate on Start Up India with Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai at India Today Mediaplex, Noida.

The Debate was chaired by Mr. Ronnie Screwvala (Entrepreneur), Mr. Mohandas Pai (Former Board of Director, Infosys & Angel Investor for Start ups), Mr. Nitin Saluja (Founder, Chayoos), Mr. Amitabh Kant (Secretary, Finance dept, Govt of India) and Mr. Manav Sethi (Founder, askmebazaar)

Debate started with the concept of Start-up India and Entrepreneurship as stated by our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi ji, who unveiled a 19 point action plan for Start-up enterprises in India. The problems an emerging entrepreneur encounters regarding funds and convincing his family etc. were discussed at large. The panellist urged the audience to have conviction in their ideas so that they can change the ecosystem around themselves.
The winning mantras for becoming Successful Entrepreneur highlighted by panellist are as follows:

Mr. Rajdeep: “Entrepreneurs can the change the mind set of old India; all that is needed is enough zeal in his idea”.

Mr. Nitin Yadav: “The idea should be such that it should have the ability to disrupt the market and provide the best solution to any problem”.

Mr. Ganesh: “No doubt you will fail while becoming a successful entrepreneur but dream big and fail spectacularly”.

Mr. Mohan Das: “Entrepreneurs are special people having higher level of determination and courage than that of an ordinary person.”

Mr. Amitabh: “Have passion, Have determination, every successful entrepreneur have seen failure so it hardly cost anything”.

It was a great enriching & learning experience for our students to be a part of this social debate.
