Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Alok Pandey, Ph D, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, Center for Research on Managing Insolvency and Bankruptcy (CROMIB) was inaugurated by Mr. Amarjit Chopra, Past President ICAI and Former Chairman, NACAS on May 13, 2019. It is the first Strategic Research Unit (SRU) of the institute.

Under the visionary leadership of Prof. Alok Pandey, Ph D, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, Center for Research on Managing Insolvency and Bankruptcy (CROMIB) was inaugurated by Mr. Amarjit Chopra, Past President ICAI and Former Chairman, NACAS on May 13, 2019. It is the first Strategic Research Unit (SRU) of the institute.

The CROMIB will spearhead advance research on all issues related to Insolvency and Bankruptcy in India. It will seek to actively liaise with all stakeholders like IBBI, NCLT, NCLAT, MCA, Banks, Firms and other statutory bodies.

Prof. Alok Pandey expressed confidence that in the course of time, CROMIB will come to be acknowledged as a leading contributor to the intellectual capital on policy issues related to Insolvency and Bankruptcy.

Sri Chopra then addressed the faculty members in a special seminar on the theme “Corporate Governance- Research Imperatives”. Having been there and done it, he shared some rare insights on why there have been multi-lateral failures on governance in India. His talk evoked many questions from the audience and animated discussions. The audience found the session highly engaging and enlightening.

Prof. Alok Pandey welcomed the guest and set the tone of the seminar in his address. Dr. Tapan K Nayak, Dean (Academics-PGDM), Dr. Pankaj K Agarwal, Dean-Research, Dr. Anita Singh, Area Chair -HR, Dr. Vijesh Jain, Dean-MDP and Ms Shinu Vij, Assistant Professor-Business Law were also present among all other faculty members.

Continuing its rich tradition, IMS Ghaziabad, PGDM Batch 2018-20 bid farewell to yet another precious Batch of PGDM 2017-19 on April 6th, 2019. The juniors organized a beautiful and memorable evening for their seniors to be remembered for lifetime with the theme “Bon Voyage”. Well suited boys and gorgeously dressed girls in sarees danced on the beats of music and had fun participating in the race of winning exciting titles.

PGDM first-year students welcomed Dr. Anita Singh (in absentia), Director IMS Ghaziabad, Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Dean Academics and Dr. Sachin Malhotra, Dean MCA with floral bouquets and also welcomed all faculty, staff, and students present during the function. In his welcome address, Dr. Nayak congratulated PGDM Batch 2017-19 for completing two successful years at the institution and gave them their blessings for the future. He encouraged the batch to stay connected and also said that they will be missed.
The programme consisted of different awards and titles which included Mr. and Ms. Farewell and many more. Dr. Nayak along with all the dignitaries awarded the title holders with bouquets and gifts. Student of the Batch Male and Female was awarded to Mr. Chandra Bhushan Rai and Ms. Niharika Sharma. Mr. and Ms. Farewell was won by Mr. Shubhamjeet Raj and Ms. Rachna Singh, after a series of talent rounds. Best CR Male and Female was awarded to Mr. Tushar Tiwari and Ms. Durgesh Nandini and Mr. and Ms. Popular was awarded to Mr. Nabahat Abbas and Ms. Anshu Kalra. The event concluded with DJ beats and dinner.
