Outbound Programme for PGDM 2018-20 Batch, July 13, 2018

IMS Firmly believes that the real learning occurs beyond the classrooms. Hence to inculcate Team Work, Leadership, Group Dynamics and Communication skills amongst the new admitted PGDM Batch, an extensive Outbound Programme was organized at IMS Ghaziabad. The Students, divided into groups participated enthusiastically in parallel activities namely Spider Web – Cross the web, Perfect Square – Create a perfect square whilst being blindfolded, Magic Matt – Cross from one side to another with Matt without touching the ground, Trust Fall – Free Fall and Roller Coaster – Create a platform where Ball moves from one end to another on its own without any manual intervention. Students from Two sections each were divided into four groups for activities apart from Roller Coaster which was a combined activity. The Students enjoyed the fun-filled activities throughout the day and learned the true management principles for Life.

KeyNote Address by Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Director AICTE, during PGDM Induction programme 2018, July 9, 2018

The second day of the inaugural session of the Induction Programme of the 29th PGDM Batch (2018-20), witnessed the presence of Chief Guest Dr.D.K. Bhalla (IAS) Senior Resident Commissoner, Nagaland Govt; Keynote speaker Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna Director-AICTE; Mr. Mahesh Munjal, CMD Majestic Auto Ltd; Mr. Abhiskek Bhattacharya, Associate Director, PEPSICO besides Dr. Pramod Aggarwal, Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad , Shri Rakesh Chharia ,General Secretary, IMS Society and Dr.Tapan Kumar Nayak –Dean Academics.

The theme of the session was “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers” where doyens from corporate and academia addressed the Sbudding managers and showered the blessings to the new entrants. The Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Anita Singh, Area Chairperson-HR.

The post –lunch session of the Induction Programme ,was devoted to interaction with senior alumni of IMS Ghaziabad. Mr. Rajiv Agnihotri, GM, Pawan Hans; Mr. Faizan Ahmad, National Head, The Hindu; Mr. Amit Sethi, Sr. Manager, IndusInd Bank shared their valuable experiences with the budding IMSians. The vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Tushar Mahajan ( Professor- Operations).

Finally, Dean- Academics, Dr.Tapan Kumar Nayak introduced the faculty & staff to the budding IMSians, in “All the family Session” and finally Dr. Nayak offered heartfelt thanks to ‘one-and –all- Hon’ble’ Managing Trustee Dr. Pramod Aggarwal, Director IMS Ghaziabad Prof. Ajay K. Jain, Faculty & staff besides volunteers & budding IMSians, for contributing and making the programme successful.

The third & last day of the inaugural session of the Induction Programme of the 29th PGDM Batch (2018-20), was devoted to special session on Yoga / spirituality, Mudra & stress management in the first session. The renowned experts like Dr. D. N. Srivastava, President International Natuopathy Organization, New Delhi; Memory expert Dr. B. K. Chandrashekhar, President SIGFA solutions; Acharya Ram Gopal Dixit, Naturopathy expert & vaidya to President of India and Dr. V.K.Bansal, Mudra Gyan expert gave demonstrations to the audience. Dr. S. K. Dube ( Area Chairperson-IB) offered vote of thanks to the august gathering.

PGDM Induction Programme 2018, July 8-10, 2018

IMS Ghaziabad is organizing an extensive Induction Programme from July 08-10, 2018, on the occasion of commencement of 29th batch of PGDM. The programme will revolve around the theme: “Corporate Expectations from Young Managers”. The main objective of this programme is to sensitize the young budding managers with the pragmatic experiences of the corporate world and its expectations from them in the challenging and changing Global scenario with special focus on handling stress, meditation and yoga.
