IMS Ghaziabad organized Annual Convocation 2017, April 19, 2017

IMS Ghaziabad proudly organized its Annual Convocation 2017 for PGDM (2014-16), MCA (2013-16) and MCA Lateral Entry (2014-16) batches on April 19, 2017. Honorable Chief Guest, Prof. D. P. Singh, Director – NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), Former Vice Chancellor – Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; Dr. H.S Gour University, Sagar; Devi Ahilya University Indore; Distinguished keynote speaker – Prof. A. P. Mittal, Member Secretary, AICTE along with Sh. Pramod Agarwal, Managing Trustee, IMS Ghaziabad, Sh. Sanjay Agarwal, Chairman – IMS Society; Sh. Rakesh Chharia, General Secretary – IMS Society and Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director IMS Ghaziabad, conferred 266 PGDM diplomas & 128 MCA Degrees to Post Graduating students.

Prof D.P Singh, Director NAAC, congratulated all the graduating students and urged them to have a never give up attitude to be successful during the convocation address. Sir, reminded the students about the ideology of Swami Vivekananda, Principles of Mahatma Gandhi and the beliefs of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on how to succeed in a competitive business world. Prof A. P. Mittal, Member Secretary, AICTE expressed heartiest congratulations to the degree & diploma recipients & urged them to work with responsibility for the progress of the country and society during his keynote address.

Prof. Sharma congratulated the graduating students, their proud parents and wished them a bright and successful career ahead. He also presented the Annual report for the Academic year 2016-17, wherein the recent achievements and the latest initiatives undertaken at IMS were highlighted. Toppers of PGDM 2014-16 Batch – Ratnapriya Pathak was awarded Gold Medal along with Scholarship of Rs. 50,000 for being the Topper of First Year as well. Komal Nawani was awarded with the Silver Medal. The Second Topper of 1st year PGDM (2014-16) Chaitanya Puri was awarded a Scholarship of Rs. 25,000/-.

The students toppers of MCA were also awarded with scholarship – Anjali Tomar was awarded a Scholarship of Rs. 15000/- for being the Topper and Dinesh Kumar Yadav was awarded a Scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- for being the second topper from MCA(2013-16) batch. Yashmeen Bano & Mohit Gupta were awarded scholarship of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively for being the Ist and IInd Toppers from MCA Lateral Entry (2014-16) batch. Naman Sabarwal & Keerti Shrivastava were awarded scholarship of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively for being the Ist and IInd Toppers of MCA II Year (2014-17) batch. Vinayak Singh & Vakeel Ahmad were awarded scholarship of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively for being the Ist and IInd Toppers of MCA II Year Lateral Entry batch (2015-17). Nityanand & Prachi Srivastav of MCA Ist Year 2015-18 batch were awarded scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 5000/- for being the Ist and IInd toppers respectively.

Special Seminar on I.T Infrastructure & E-Governance for MCA Students, April 11, 2017

Under the aegis of Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director-IMS Ghaziabad and with an objective to enhance the domain knowledge & employability of MCA Students, a special seminal lecture was organized by IMS Ghaziabad on April 11, 2017. The lecture was delivered by renowned academician & expert speaker – Dr Ajay K Gupta, Director – Computer Centre, University of Delhi, on a very pertinent topic of the day – “I.T Infrastructure & E-Governance”.

Prof. Sharma, in his welcome address highlighted the role of infrastructure and e-governance in shaping the future of Digital India. Guest of Honor – Dr. Gupta, initiated the discussion with basic I.T Infrastructural concepts and later on migrated to advance concepts highlighting key implementation issues. He took several real life problems & discussed their solutions with the students and how they are implemented. The students interacted with full zeal and raised lot of queries.

The event was concluded with the prize distribution for the participants in Melange-2017 (An Inter Institute Annual Cultural Festival) from MCA Department, being acknowledged by Guest of Honor – Dr Ajay k Gupta and Prof. J. P. Sharma, Director, IMS Ghaziabad on behalf of the management and on his personal behalf, for their voluminous contribution in making Melange 2017 a grand success.

Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan, 15th April, 2017

Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan, conducted on 15th April, 2017 by the students

On the advice of District Magistrate, Ghaziabad Ms. Nidhi Kesarwani, students along with the Faculty and Staff members of IMS, Lal Quan, Ghaziabad have participated whole heartily for the awareness of Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan. More than 50 students enthusiastically took up brooms & garbage bags to clean up the area from Vijay Nagar to Railway Station, Ghaziabad today (15th April, 2017) between 8.00 a.m to 10.a.m. The whole drive was quite inspiring and motivating for students. They realized that any work is best done when it is carried out by a person himself. It also made the students aware of dignity of labour.
