Workshop on Managerial Insights into the Issues of Globalization

sameer-shuklaIt is very rightly said that opportunity does not comes twice your way and whenever it comes one should always make it point to grab those opportunities because once lost can never come back again. Therefore it was a privilege for the students of IMS Ghaziabad those who attended the seminar held on 1st March 2013 by UBIC which proved to be a sheer learning experience for all of us and its impact will be there in our minds for a long time to come because such kind of seminars are once in a lifetime opportunity and one can’t afford to miss it.

The issue regarding the seminar was Globalisation and how India is contributing as a global player across the nations and is helping the world economy grow as one unit mutually. Various facets were covered during the seminar and also how one can benefit out of it and along with it the drawbacks of globalisation were also a point of concern during the process.

There was a management game by the name of simulation management game in which there were 6 teams in all and the topic to be covered by all of them was to see an audio cassette in various countries being assigned to different teams and in the end it proved to be very fruitful for all and various learning issues were touched during the process and most importantly everyone has to perform at the micro level not the macro one so that we as a customer can see ourselves in that position. It was a very enriching experience overall and the team 5 which performed the act in the form of Saudi Arabia emerged as the ultimate winners in the end.

So overall it was great to have the delegates from Brazil which were of constant support till the very end and of course not to forget our old alumnus from IMS made the time, place and event more memorable with his sharing of his knowledge and experiences with all of us.

Thank you.

Sameer Shukla
